Editorial summary
International Leadership of Texas (ILTexas) lists March 15–19, 2027, as Spring Break for DFW and Brazos County schools. Houston-area campuses have March 8–12 instead. Each region has one week off, not both. The district notes that these dates may change to align with surrounding communities. DFW and Brazos County classes are scheduled to resume March 22.
September 21 and February 22 are Data Days marked as student holidays, with no regular classes. Fall Break is October 12–16; October 15–16 also have teacher PD and parent conferences. Thanksgiving Break is November 23–27, and Winter Break runs December 18–January 6. Students remain off through January 6, even though some staff have professional-development activities during the final days. Classes resume January 7.
The calendar has six grading cycles and 170 instructional days. April 30 is a student holiday for teacher work. May 26 is the listed last day of school. The calendar also reserves March 26 and May 27 as possible weather make-up days, so families should check for schedule changes. Summer School is scheduled for June 1–15, 2027, for selected students only.
Common questions
Use this view for the DFW and Brazos County dates in the district PDF: Spring Break is March 15–19, 2027. Houston uses the separate March 8–12 view. These are regional groups, not a campus-by-campus list; confirm your school's assigned region if you are unsure.

ILTexas lists 170 instructional days across six grading cycles: 26, 24 and 29 days in the first semester, then 31, 33 and 27 in the second. The separate 187 figure includes 17 professional-development days; it is not the student instructional-day total.

No. Houston-area students use March 8–12, and DFW and Brazos County students use March 15–19. The two ranges in the shared calendar apply to different regions; they are not a two-week break for every student. The dates are subject to change to align with surrounding communities.
The calendar labels September 21 and February 22 “Data Day (Student Holiday),” so students have no regular classes on those dates. May 27 is also a Cycle 6 Data Day, but it doubles as an Inclement Weather Day and may be affected by a weather-related schedule change.
The ILTexas district calendar lists Spring Break for Houston-area schools as March 8–12, 2027, and for DFW and Brazos County schools as March 15–19. It does not specify which schedule applies to Liberty-area campuses. Check with your child's Liberty campus before making plans.
March 26 and May 27, 2027, are reserved Inclement Weather Days. The published calendar shows no regular student classes on those dates, but they are not guaranteed holidays. May 27 is also a Cycle 6 Data Day; follow ILTexas announcements if weather requires a schedule change.
No regular classes are scheduled for Friday, March 26, 2027. ILTexas designates the date as Inclement Weather Day #1, not a Good Friday holiday. It may be used as a make-up day if weather-related schedule changes are needed.
No regular classes are scheduled for May 27 under the published calendar. The date is listed as Cycle 6 Data Day / Inclement Weather Day #2, so it could become a school day if ILTexas uses it for weather-related make-up classes.

Friday, May 14, is listed as the last day for senior exams. The calendar does not provide the full exam schedule, subjects or times, and this is not a graduation date.
The district calendar does not list graduation ceremony dates, times or venues. Check your high school’s announcements for its 2027 ceremony schedule; May 14 is the senior-exam endpoint, not a graduation date.
Summer School is listed for June 1–15, 2027, for selected students. The marked weekday sessions are June 1–4, June 7–11 and June 14–15; the calendar does not show weekend sessions. Check campus instructions for the hours and dates assigned to your child.
No. The calendar says Summer School is for a select group of students, with all others on break. Campus instructions should explain who is assigned to attend and the program’s hours.
Use ILTexas’s Weather Resources page and your campus’s latest announcements. Closures can differ by region; a DFW closure does not automatically mean Houston or Brazos County campuses are closed.
The Board-approved PDF is linked from ILTexas’s Families calendar page. It was approved April 22, 2026, and includes both regional Spring Break schedules.

Source and scope
ILTexas’s Families calendar page currently links the 2026-2027 district PDF. Its visible approval statement is April 22, 2026. The downloaded official file and the supplied local PDF have matching SHA-256 hashes.
The shared PDF has Houston and DFW/Brazos County Spring Break captions, not one districtwide March closure. Two regional views preserve that difference. March purple cells are not taken as new-teacher induction: the March captions specify Spring Break. Veterans Day is printed without a holiday fill and remains an instructional date. January 4–6 overlap Winter Break; closure counts deduplicate them. March 26 and May 27 are conditional weather dates, with their activation implications marked derived. Summer School is split into contiguous marked weekdays, excluding weekends and regular-year attendance. Pure staff orientation, pre-year PD and office-only closures are excluded. The six cycle counts total 170; 187 includes 17 PD days. Liberty is not assigned a regional break solely from website menu grouping. January staff occurrences are linked to the enclosing Winter Break for supplemental display, not presented as three additional student breaks. Labels on the DFW/Brazos view describe DFW staff only; the PDF does not assign those regional staff roles to Brazos County. Weather-dependent occurrences are excluded from confirmed-break countdowns and shown with a separate conditional status. The overlapping data/PD/workday subset is not published as a separate statistic, and its publication setting survives regeneration. January 4–5 participant scope describes regional staff, not a separate student attendance requirement.
Recheck the district PDF, regional campus announcements and Weather Resources for changes. The current news listing and August welcome-back notice were reviewed; no superseding calendar dates or charterwide bell times were identified. Discovery targets do not start scheduled monitoring.
